BPR wants to hire an innovative multi-media journalist and producer with a deep interest in arts and performance. This is a new position responsible for daily production of local cultural coverage, including a new weekly series. 

BPR’s two channels serve a 13-country region: WCQS, news and classical music, and BPR News, all-news and information. WCQS is the #1 most-listened-to-radio station in the Asheville Metro.

Our region is powered by a dynamic, creative economy and a vibrant music and arts community.  Asheville is also a foodie and craft beer paradise, and is surrounded by some of America’s most beautiful mountains and rivers for an endless range of outdoor adventures.

Required education & experience: A four-year degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. Three years’ experience producing arts and performance audio content, preferably in public media.  More details on the position at bpr.org/careers
