Annual Membership Dues
The PRPD dues year runs July 1 through June 30. Dues will be prorated after the first six months of the initial year of application. Apply for membership using our online application form
PRPD offers three categories of membership:
Dues are calculated on a sliding scale based on each licensee's revenue, plus a fixed base amount paid by every member. This sliding fee structure is based on a station's NFFS certified by CPB. (Non-CPB qualified stations fees can submit other documentation of revenue). All employees of a member station are eligible for benefits
July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014 dues (based on 2011 NFFS)
Dues = $275 base + (0.0006 x NFFS to $3 million) + (0.0003 x
NFFS on additional revenue to the limit below) excluding capital income.
Minimum and a maximum dues levels:
- No station will pay less than $425.
- No station will pay more than $4,000.
Based on budget, PRPD offers four (4) tiers of institutional membership. This category also applies to for-profit businesses serving public radio.
July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014 (based on FY11 revenue)
Annual Budget of $3 Million and Over = $4,000
Annual Budget $1 Million to $3 Million = $1,900
Annual Budget $500,000 to $1 Million = $1,250
Annual Budget under $500,000 = $800
Individual memberships pay a single flat rate. Only those working as one person entities, that is; who do not have any additional employees nor are themselves receiving salary or employee benefits from a station or institution – qualify for individual membership. Annual dues are $380.
Individual members are full voting members with access to all PRPD services, including conference registration at the member rate. However, this rate does not qualify for discounts on conference marketing opportunities and individuals will be listed by their own name (not business name) in our directories.
