2022 - New Orleans

Registration opens on May 16, 2022 for the PRPD Content Conference, August 29 - September 1, 2022 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside

Now in its 35th year, the PRPD Content Conference is the premier gathering for noncommercial radio programmers, content managers and content leaders in the public media ecosystem. Each year, more than four hundred public media professionals from across the globe come together to be enlightened by informative presentations, discussions of national importance, professional development and training opportunities and networking with colleagues. Attendees from stations meet with national level talent and key decision makers from networks and public media organizations in the US and abroad. PRPD is known for bringing the most knowledgeable, engaging, and inspiring speakers to our stage and presenting attendees with provocative ideas to help find new ways of thinking and new pathways to success. This year's schedule includes eight plenary sessions, more than a dozen topic-specific breakout sessions and pre-conference workshops for skills training. Our schedule includes ample networking time so you can can create memorable moments with familiar colleagues and get to know the newest members of the public media community. It's been three years since we've been able to convene in-person and we could not have chosen a more perfect location than New Orleans to hold this much anticipated gathering. Lunch is on your own and you're invited to enjoy the unique culinary experience that New Orleans is known for. Our conference hotel is situated along the river just a short walk away from Jackson Square, a few blocks from the French Quarter and close to public transit where you can hop on a streetcar to Uptown or the Garden district for great lunch with friends and colleagues. Get a group together and explore some amazing cuisine!

Registration opens on May 16, 2022.

Health & Safety Guidelines

2022 Content Conference

May 16, 2022

To protect the health and safety of everyone who plans to attend and participate in our 2022 conference, PRPD is issuing the following guidelines:

  • PRPD strongly recommends that you receive an adequate dose of COVID-19 vaccine or a booster and leave enough time for the vaccine to take effect before traveling to New Orleans for the conference. Available vaccines have been shown to dramatically reduce the occurrence and severity of COVID-19. Vaccination is not required at this time; however, it is strongly recommended.
  • PRPD’s management and conference team will monitor the local public health and safety guidelines in New Orleans and will make determinations about our own protocols based on local information. We will update these guidelines as it becomes necessary.
  • We strongly encourage all conference goers to take whatever precautions they feel are prudent to protect themselves from any public health threat. Masking is acceptable and encouraged for anyone who wants to ensure they are protected. There will be no judgement if you decide to wear a mask!
  • We ask that you respect the personal space of others while attending our conference. If you begin to experience symptoms of any kind while in attendance, we ask that you notify a PRPD representative and self-quarantine until we are able to ensure that you and others have not been infected.
