Digital Manager

WMFE is seeking a skilled, creative and ambitious multi-platform digital journalist with a passion for telling stories that impact central Orlando to join its national award-winning newsroom. This person would have a track record of digital innovation, while serving as a dynamic team player, who is comfortable in the digital and social media worlds and can handle operating in a fast-turnaround environment. The job duties include working with the content team to build a multimedia story to share with our community on multiple digital and social media platforms as well as being able to spot the conversation starter in every story and help build as well as lead a conversation around our journalism. A steward of the WMFE brand, the Digital Manager will help grow our audience across social networks and newsletters, connecting readers with our content and engaging them in conversation. This position requires extensive experience using analytics to track audience growth and engagement across digital platforms. The ability to work independently, effectively and with others inside and outside the company is a must. The best candidates will know how to take initiative and oversee projects that are both immediate and long-term.
