The PRPD Board, staff and membership are gearing up for PRPD19 in Minneapolis, August 27-29, and we're excited to share this initial planning update.
This year's conference programming is focused on your listeners' interests and designed to speak to both the diversity of PRPD's membership and the audiences we need to reach and serve.
PRPD19 will feature format inclusive sessions that matter to every station, like the PRTS report-out, and expert-led conversations on things you can do to make your air sound better next week.
The elections will dominate our listeners' minds and attention in the next year and your colleagues have some smart ideas about how to be compelling, differentiated and deeply relevant.
This year, you can count on strong sessions that focus on developing a local podcast content strategy that goes beyond "the big idea" and factors in crucial elements like talent development, organizational leadership, revenue strategies and serving new audiences.
Music stations can look forward to sessions that deal with your unique approaches to podcast strategies, building effective local partnerships to extend your reach and impact and, of course, how to lead crucial conversations with your talent and colleagues.
PRPD19's schedule incorporates recent attendee feedback. We'll have regular, 9:00 am (sharp) start times and plenty of networking time. The final General Session wraps at 1:30 pm on Thursday, August 29 and we're planning on a must-attend session, so make sure book a later afternoon return flight and stick around for the whole day.
