Clocks, Clocks, Clocks: Best Practices for Adopting New NPR Magazine Clocks

Tamar Charney, Tanya Ott, Scott Williams
2014 - Portland

Now that the new NPR newsmagazine clocks are set, what are the best ways to make the shows sound as smooth as possible?  How should you assemble your local breaks to minimize disruption (tune-out)?  Our panelists have prototyped local use of the new clocks and will recommend best practices on local content for the new Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Weekend Edition clocks. Discussion will include use of the two new news headline segments in Morning Edition for large and small market stations.
